92 miles today. First 54 on own. Second rest stop at mile 54. I had promised myself that I would stop at Casey's, have pizza and soda, stay as long as I wanted, then leave . I ate half the pizza, too much cheese for me! Went in and then got a cheeseburger. Ate half of that, then saddled up and went all but the last 5 miles with the group of 14

Here is typical rest stop
Ok stuff 🆗, but it gets old, and I want something substantial to eat halfway through a 7-8 hours of biking!
Of course w 5 miles to go a foot was killing me. I stopped to loosen sho e the group was gone. I missed a turn, asked a clueless guy mowing his lawn, eventually used cellular phone for directions to hotel. Nice quiet BRICK! streets in residential areas. Kind of cool, but teeth chattering rough . Anyway, got there. Jill took me to Hamilton Walker's steakhouse. Great meal.
Rambling, but side and headwinds. Thankfully I ended with the group and sheltered there. Kind of echoloned into the wind.
Here shot of Jeff Carter and Alan, two of the early show
Finally, here are tan lines on my fingers from the biking gloves
