June 1 from Kirksville, MO

Another day like yesterday.   Words and pictures cannot describe the endless relentless hills

We started with wet roads for first hour and a half.   No rain tho.

I got lost leaving rest stop #1.   Spent 20-30 minutes trying to figure out, asked directions, got on hwy 11, but was unsure of which direction to go.   Had my phone searching for directions when thankfully saw light s from the Georgia boys in the distance so I knew I was heading the right direction .   Everyone here has gps on their bikes.  I use paper direction sheets.

More hill pics

Great pictures of Georgia boys

I ended up with couple extra miles due to being confused

Rest stop 2, these people never sit on the ground, they just don't.   Them sitting means it was a challenging day

Had excellent filet at Colton's steakhouse.   Then evening meeting regarding details of end of tour.
I have now been riding for 4 weeks, 28 days, and on bike for 25 of them.   Tomorrow will cross Mississippi River and hit 2000 mile mark.

It is unbelievable the abuse and pounding and jolting these bikes take from holes, gravel, rocks, rain, rumble strips, concrete, asphalt, rough, smooth.   These are pretty incredible machines!

Had 4200 feet of ascending , vs  4000 of down today
Oh, heard and saw first cicadas of the trip
