May 23, ended in Liberal, KS
Our 4th state in 4 days.
A short day. 46 miles. 650 feet up, 850 feet down. Nice wind on the backside for much of the way too. 16-17 mph without working very hard. Happy about that as my legs had zero zip . Flat flat country.
More semis on the road than cars. Before crossing into Kansas we first passed thru a spot in the road in Oklahoma. Stopped at rest stop at the chamber of commerce. Guess what the name of the town is!
After entering Kansas, we stopped at Dorothy's house.
I don't understand why this is here. The wizard of Oz movie was shot in Hollywood, not here. But someone had the idea I guess for a tourism stop?
A couple miles down the road we then visited.......That was super interesting. Walking thru it with Odie, a former Navy pilot who flew several of the types of jets on display, including an F-14 that was displayed outside
After the museum headed to hotel 🏨 and after my laundry and sandwich and ice cream at Braun's (alot like Culver's), a nap dinner at restaurant next to our hotel
Food was marginal.
