May 22, to Guymon, OK
A good choice.
73 miles dead into the wind today. For first 30 I rode alone. No one else from the early show wanted to be followed closely or to follow someone else close. Into a 10 to 15 mph dead on headwind that's just too foolish. I waited at first rest stop, mile 30 to catch on with a group for as long as I could hold on . Caught in with the Georgia guys and stuck with them all the way . It was work, but probably saved energy and got done alot quicker.
First 30 I averaged 13 mph. Last 43 with them was 16+.
I only took pictures when we stopped. They don't stop for anything! (Except rest stops 🚏)

All in all a good day.
580 feet uphill and 1360 down .
Had really good double cheeseburger at this place even though it doesn't look like much!

Tomorrow we are supposed to have a short day and go down the yellow brick 🧱 road to Dorothy's house 🏠 in Kansas Forgot to mention the most memorable part of the day. Sounds strange but was able to sit on some nice lush green grass at the first rest stop. Feels like I am haven't seen green grass in a couple weeks!
