May 12, 2024 to Holbrook, AZ

Started out in Flagstaff at 41 degrees, ended up in Holbrook at 81 degrees.   96 miles.  About 1000 feet of climb, although really not noticeable, and 2700 feet of descent.   Once we were out of the Flagstaff area, This is the view from City of Flagstaff.

We were able to go 25-26 mph, gentle downhill slight tailwind on interstate 40.   We were pretty much on I 40 for most of the day.   Pretty flat terrain.

made it into Winslow Arizona as featured in the famous song by the Eagles.

continued on to the hole in the wall of Jackrabbit.

Pretty much a store in middle of nowhere.
Then on to Holbrook.

here
Couple shots from third floor hotel room.   A beautiful desolate flat place.

longest ride I have done since IMWI 2015, that was 112 miles.
Forgot to mention two flat tires, there were a lot of flats today due to road debris.   Heck I consider a flat a nice 10 minute break 😀.
